Here s how it went: I ve been following them on social media for months and my birthday was coming up so I made the 9 hour drive to Mount Dora to celebrate with friends and good Asian cuisine. I arrived and was seated immediately and costumer service was good. Thankfully they had coke products and we put in for appetizers like the egg rolls and the pork gyoza . Those were delicious. We placed our order 5 min later and proceeded to wait an hour to receive our food. Appetizers were great and fast but good took forever. Server came to tell us that the two sushi rolls we wanted had come out and the hibachi bowl, ramen and sushi burrito was folllowing up soon. 20 min later she came back to say that a large party had taken up a lot of man power and that they JUST started on our order. We were confused but conversation was going well so we let it slide. We still had time until they closed. End of a long story we got our food 15 min after they closed the restaurant. We didn t want to be those people so we took our food to go. Get home and food was mediocre. Orange chicken hibachi was overly salted, ramen was chewy and burrito really needs a sort of dipping sauce cause by itself it s just dry. Definitely don t hate the food but if my experience had been better I would want to give them another chance. As is I m not sure I should have driven that long for what I got. Restaurant is cute though

We went twice. Definitely go if you love something different. The food is fresh, colorful and nicely plated. The price is reasonable but not inexpensive. We tried several appetizers including krab mozzarella sticks and egg rolls. Really good! The entrees included soft shell crab tocos, a sashimi donut, bento boxes and much more. Loved the freshness and the flavors. The soft shell crab and the toco were a bit too hard. I wish the breading on it wasnt so hard. Though the decor is okay, the ambiance and lighting is kind of like a well-lit pizzeria. I think they should warm up the colors but thats me. The servers didnt impress us. The last visit, she didnt smile, never collected the appetizer plates and never offered water or dessert-just brought the check. She checked on us once but it felt like she did it because she finally remembered us. Hope the tip made her smile-at least for the next customer. Im not saying dont go. GO! It is worth it but it wont be the amazing experience you expect. By the way, the sangria pitcher at $20 is great - you get about 6 full glasses and a nice buzz.

UPDATE 10.27.22 once again, the food was great and since we went around 11:30 a.m. there was only a few people in the restaurant. I got the chicken Hibachi bowl which was awesome and hubby got the vegetarian based sushi burger which of course has no fish products in it. I think the only thing that was slightly different this time was that the little ginger side salad that comes with the Hibachi Bowl was a lot smaller than normal. There was not a lot of dressing on it which theyre dressing is so awesome and the bowl was not nearly as full as it normally is. Its just a tiny salad to begin with, but its usually enough with the entree to be a perfect pairing though this one was minimal. Though not enough that it would keep us from going back. Definitely worth the trip. UPDATE 7.19.22 Great Asian and Sushi food. Not just your typical cheap Chinese food like some places have. The prices are really good as the portions are large. Food usually comes very quickly and staff has always been Pleasant and helpful with menu suggestions. The only negative I would say is that its difficult to access for handicapped people. Parking is very limited to a very small parking lot near the restaurant and mostly street parking which can be difficult to get in Mount Dora on busy days. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH HAD HIBACHI BOWLS WITH THE NOODLES AND THOSE WERE AMAZING AND HUGE. The little Vietnamese egg rolls were good but for me they were very small and overpriced for what you get. It would be nice if they brought back the smoothies they used to do a while back. Now that the restaurant relocated on the first floor, they have a beautiful, fun decor, more tables and its roomier. Its nice and bright in there and you can actually see the kitchen area. And another positive is that they have bathrooms inside the restaurant unlike their old location where you had to ask for a key and go down the hall.

Drove 3 and a half hours to try Wave. What an amazing experience for 3pm on a Saturday. We were seated immediately and ordered the bao buns (one of each flavor), egg rolls, and the wave sushi burrito. Everything was bursting with flavor! Half of the burrito was the size of my hand!! We got our food within 10 min and we got our checks 2 min after we finished eating! Fast and friendly service from Austin! Definitely recommend this place if your passing through!
