Deliciousness every time

The place could use a renovation. I didnt care for the pizza place chairs and tables look. Service was just average, and the food was ok. It was missing a lot of flavor, so its a no for me. The seaweed wrap around the roll is so thick that you cant chew it. It grossed me out. The only thing I liked were the krab rangoon mozzarella sticks.

This restaurant is one of MT. DORAS best places to eat!!! If you love sushi- youll love it. If you dont like sushi - they have PLENTY of other options available. You have to get the Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks!!!! They are delicious!!! Colby provided excellent service!!! The staff is all very friendly.

The waitress that we had tonight was one of the rudest, no personality, with a big attitude. First we had to wait because we had were a table of 7. They set up the table and it took 10 minutes to get to put in a drink and appetizers order ok not so bad but there was 7 of us she didn t not bring out napkins for our drinks, she only brought out 4 dipping bowls. Then it is the waiting game. I noticed there was only regular soy so I asked the waitress if they had low sodium and they said yes she would bring it right out. On my ticket we had 4 people we order the krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, pork dumplings, and egg roll. We waiting almost an half hour 40 minutes to get them when they first came out only 2 of the 3 came but 2 others from our table ordered appetizers 15 minutes after ours and they got theirs before our egg rolls. We waiting another 10/15 then asked the waitress the first time she said it would be right out. She did not ask us how we were or If we needed anything she just left. I looked around and said she didn t bring out my low sodium soy. We waited for her to come back she never did. Finally my daughter went up to get some for me and ask about our egg rolls. Low sodium finally came out no egg rolls waitress came we asked for the egg rolls again, she went around the corner and put it in she forgot to order it if she would have just told us that then we would have told them to forget it. We waited again and then my daughter said were is out waitress we could not find her, I went and asked for a manager told her the sum of it forgetting things not checking in on us and being rude oh ya they also made a drink they were not suppose to and were all trying it my daughter went up and asked them and they said it s not on the menu sorry and laughed. BY THE WAY THE WATER IS GROSS. We got our food 3 meals were wrong mine was cold and no sauce, mother in laws had no veggies at all and my daughter a had hair fried in the orange chicken . The manager helped and gave 20% off the bill but I do feel the meals that were messed up should have been removed from the bill and although the manager was semi nice I almost feel like it was a front we were not yelling didn t raise our voice at all laughed about it. It was a bad experience. Food is plain taste not seasoning, sushi hot dog really hot, the best thing we had was the Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks. The 1 point was for that and the manager. Bad parking bad location no waiting area. Will not be going back not worth the almost $200 meal that we all paid tonight with the discount.

My girlfriend and I ate there a week or so ago, as she had been dying to try it. If you go at rush times like lunch or dinner, expect a long wait. We came at an off hour so only waited about twenty minutes. Our waitress was phenomenal for how much business was going on and was very polite. The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh and flavourful. Highly recommend the Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks. Will be back again when Im in the area.

Saw a food blogger post about this place months ago and we finally made it out there. Unfortunately for us, I picked a day that Mt Dora was having a craft fair, so parking was a nightmare. We were instantly greeted and sat at a table, moments later our server welcomed us and offered to get us drinks, sadly she must have just came off a smoke break...one of my biggest pet peeves. Restaurant owners really need to do a better job of policing their servers. In any case she was good, recommended a great appetizer, the Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks and wow, they were amazing! I ordered the Sushi Crunch Wrap Supreme and it did not disappoint, it has everything in it. I was only challenged by how to eat it. Do I go in like a burger or attempt to eat it like traditional sushi (deconstructing it). I went burger style. My wife ordered the Flaming Dragon Roll and the Dancing Krab Roll, both were good. The wait for the food was a little longer than we hoped for and while we were ok with it (given the odor of cigarettes) our server didnt really check on us much. If youre in the area and are craving sushi, then Wave will be a solid stop.

Great and unique sushi place that turns normal everyday food into sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious. The poke Pizza included a tuna roll as the crust topped with loads of sushi toppings. The sushi hotdog is covered in crushed flamin hot Cheetos. Its a spicy krab roll tempura stuffed with spicy tuna and all the fun condiments. Honestly the best part of the meal was the appetizer of the krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks. The cheese pull on them was amazing and delicious. They were crispy and fresh and the sweet chili dipping sauce was the perfect additive. Its worth the drive if you are near Mount Dora!! Will definitely be back! The service was great giving excellent recommendations and made it an even better experience. Parking: The location is on the end of a street but in downtown Mount Dora. Definitely worth walking to because you will need the help after eating so much food!

I wish I could give this place more stars but it just was not a good experience... We waited an hour and a half to get a table at 1pm on a Thursday. Hubby was tracking how many people were ahead of us through their wait-list texting feature but then it got stuck at 4 people ahead of us ... When we decided to check in we realized all the people behind us that went on the wait-list were seated and/or finished their meals... Its also a very expensive visit for 1 drink, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. My husband got the spicy krab sushi burger and I got the super Mexican roll. My roll was mediocre and definitely not the best sushi Ive ever consumed. Hubbys sushi burger was more rice than anything else which I can understand that the rice makes the burger and needs to be a bit hefty to support the krabstick and cucumbers but it still seemed a bit overkill on the rice. If there is anything to spend money on are those krab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Two orders of those and youre set. They were nicely sized and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend those. HIGHLY. I feel bad for the fellow who was either the owner or the manager trying to mitigate the angry customers who were waiting for such a long time and perhaps being understaffed? Im not sure what happened today to cause a domino effect for this establishment but it definitely did not leave us feeling happy about our food or experience.

Love the concept. The wait for a table was 45 minutes. Our favorite was the Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks. The mixture was oozing out once you bite into it. The drink was very good. The burger/ pizza sushi overall was too hype. Presentation wise was beautiful but there was a lot of rice and sauce combined. Spicy Mayo sauce to be exact. The spicy tuna was indeed spicy. The roll was delicious. Overall, staff was friendly and the food was decent.

My girlfriend and I had the best dining experience at Wave! We are from south Florida and made it a point to visit ever since we saw a tiktok video of all the creative sushi dishes. Our waitress Denise made amazing recommendations and she was extremely attentive and personable. We got the sushi hot dog and sushi crunch wrap supreme (both coated in hot Cheetos) and the Tuna Supreme pizza (spicy!). All so delicious! For an appetizer we got the Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks which were to die for. The manager Dominique came by the table to check on us which we thought was super friendly. The host team was great as well. All in all, we give Wave a 10/10 and will have to make it a point to come back

Decided last minute to eat at Wave tonight & we were not disappointed! Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks were amazing. Loved the spicy flavor on my chicken poke bowl as well. Gavin took care of us and he was so kind & knowledgeable. He answered all our menu questions & made great recommendations. Can t wait to go back!

I found them on Instagram and it was about a 45-minute drive away, but the trip was well worth it. We had their Krab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks and their sushi Crunchwrap (this was big enough to make two people super full!) and both tasted AMAZING. The sushi tasted fresh, their cocktails are delicious, and our server Denise was great and friendly. 10/10 would definitely come back and eat here again!

After seeing their Instagram posts of their unique take on sushi we had to make the drive to Mt Dora and check it out. The restaurant has a casual feel and the moment you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff. Our server, May, gave us her recommendations, one being the Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks...something we will get each time. The portions of their special items, Sushi Burrito, Sushi Hotdog, etc are large and tastes great so come with a big appetite.

Ive followed this restaurant for years on Instagram and finally had a chance to check it out in person. I was not disappointed! We got the crunch wrap, the soft shell crab taco with hot cheetos on the taco shell, the salmon pizza, the edamame and the krab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious, the taco and mozzarella sticks were my personal favorites. The food you get here is nothing like sushi anywhere else, its both creative and delicious. Our server Gavin took great care of us despite having a busy section, and even helped us pack our leftovers on ice for the drive home. The restaurant is pretty loud because of all the people, but we were still able to talk without yelling. Ill be back the next time Im in Central Florida!

Saw this place on tiktok and I happened to find myself in the area for my boyfriends work. Being such a well know place and popular on social media for their unique sushi creations, we were not expecting much. We went on a Friday night and had to wait for about 35 to 40 mins. We started with the krab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Cannot recommend enough! They were crispy, cheesy, and flavorful and the cheese pull was amazing! I had the tuna supreme sushi pizza and somehow I managed to eat every bite. I was incredibly stuffed but very happy. Sushi is super fresh and felt almost like eating a piece of art. Completely destroyed my expectations. I was expecting expensive, small, low quality tourist trap food and was met instead with high quality, fresh sushi, fun concepts and atmosphere, great service, reasonable prices and large portions. Ps please ignore Blinkytheblindflamingo he was only there for Instagram and unfortunately I didnt take any photos without him

Nice location in Downtown Mount Dora. The food was very good and a fun experience trying sushi in different ways. The Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks were phenomenal.

Me and my brother drove all the way to Mt. Dora specifically to try out this restaurant, and it was definitely worth it! The place was packed and we had to wait about 10-15 mins to be seated, which wasn t surprising since this place is a gem. The Krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks were literally LIFE CHANGING. I ordered the spicy tuna burrito and it was so filling, you definitely get your moneys worth with this. I also got the hot Cheetos coating which elevated it even more. We also ordered the poke pizza and it was very fresh. We ordered their tarp matcha cheesecake and it was kind of a small portion and not regular cheesecake which was surprising. It was still tasty but a little overpriced. Overall it was a great foodie experience and we can t wait to come back and try more !

2 1/2 hour drive, for the best of the best. It was my girlfriends 30th birthday, and we made it a point to stop at Wave. I ve been following their Instagram for a while, but my girlfriend has had them since only the Facebook days. The sushi crunch wrap supreme, is absolutely incredible. We got ours with hot Cheetos, and we still haven t stopped talking about it to people. Be packed for a punch, and a partner to share the monstrosity of absolute deliciousness! The sushi fries were ever so tasty, blasting with flavors. The Krab Rangoon Mozzarella Sticks are an absolute must, with the dipping sauce to pair. The Bao Buns were bites of perfection. We also got he sushi poke dog, and the spicy krab taco. Which were absolutely delightful. Jonathan our server, was the very best!!! He made sure every suggestion was on point, connected with our table. The staff made her birthday special, and even came out singing to our table. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. If you re passing anywhere near Wave, you have to go, because we won t be missing it again.

Super fun sushi place! Food is generously portioned and super good! Try the krab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, it sounds weird but they were awesome! Order one less thing than you think you want or don t & enjoy leftovers!
